A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; appropriating money for the river watch program in
the Red River of the North.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin $273,000 in fiscal year 2010 and $273,000 in fiscal year 2011 are appropriated
from the clean water fund to the Pollution Control Agency for a grant to the Red River
Watershed Management Board to enhance and expand existing river watch activities
in the Red River of the North. The Red River Watershed Management Board shall
provide a report that includes formal evaluation results from the river watch program to
the commissioners of education and the Pollution Control Agency and to the legislative
natural resources finance and policy committees and K-12 finance and policy committees
by February 15, 2011. The base for this appropriation in fiscal year 2012 is $282,000 and
in fiscal year 2013 is $0.
