relating to domestic abuse; designating October as domestic violence awareness
month in Minnesota; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes,
chapter 10.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Recognizing that domestic violence is widespread, causing undue pain and suffering,
lost work productivity, increased health care costs, higher employee turnover rates, and
homelessness, and that Minnesotans should reflect on ways to reduce the prevalence of
domestic violence in the state, October is designated as domestic violence awareness
month in Minnesota.
