relating to motor vehicles; requiring registration renewal notice for E85-capable
vehicle to inform its owner; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes,
chapter 168.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

new text begin When sending a notification of renewal of registration for a motor vehicle capable
of using E85, as defined in section 296A.01, subdivision 19, the commissioner of public
safety shall inform the owner of that fact and include a list of all service stations that
provide E85 within the zip code area of the owner's mailing address and contiguous zip
code areas.
