1.6BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.7 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 122A.61, is amended by adding a
1.8subdivision to read:

1.10new text begin categorized by the Department of Education as either "not making sufficient progress" new text end
1.11new text begin or "needs assistance" in reaching the levels of adequate yearly progress required by the new text end
1.12new text begin No Child Left Behind Act and that meets the qualifications of paragraph (d) is eligible new text end
1.13new text begin for supplementary staff development aid.new text end
1.14 new text begin (b) Supplementary staff development aid equals two percent of the formula new text end
1.15new text begin allowance for that year times the number of adjusted marginal cost pupil units attending new text end
1.16new text begin sites within the school district that are categorized as not making sufficient progress or new text end
1.17new text begin needs assistance.new text end
1.18 new text begin (c) The staff development aid received under this section must be reserved and used new text end

1.23 new text begin (2) operate a school site where the percentage of free and reduced lunch eligible new text end
1.24new text begin students exceeds 50 percent; and new text end
2.1 new text begin (3) be contiguous to, or have boundaries that include, a portion of a city that has new text end
