A bill for an act
relating to local government aids; providing for aid to towns; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 477A.013, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2006, section 477A.013, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin In 2008 and subsequent years, each town that levied a property
tax in the previous year shall receive a distribution equal to $5 multiplied by its population.

new text begin This section is effective for aids payable in calendar year
2008 and thereafter.
