A bill for an act
proposing an amendment to the Minnesota Constitution by adding a section to
article XI; restricting the use of state funds for abortion services.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

An amendment to the Minnesota Constitution is proposed to the people. If the
amendment is adopted, a section shall be added to article XI, to read:

Sec. 15.

No state funds shall be used for abortion services unless specifically
authorized by law.

Sec. 2. new text begin QUESTION.

The proposed amendment shall be submitted to the people at the 2006 general
election. The question submitted shall be:

"Shall the Minnesota Constitution be amended to provide that no state funds shall be
used for abortion services unless specifically authorized by law?
