Relating to human services; expanding the authorized use of sick leave under the employment law to absences due to illness of or injury to spouses, siblings, parents, grandparents or stepparents; requiring the board on aging to develop and implement an internet based caregiver support program to provide family caregivers with the information and tools needed to self manage, plan, purchase, coordinate, monitor and evaluate the day to day activities and care outcomes, specifying certain required components of the program; requiring the commissioner of human services in consultation with the commissioner of health
to convene a work group to study and make recommendations on integrating within the home health care delivery system, the delivery of home health care services via an interactive telecommunications system and monitoring technologies to homebound patients with chronic illness or disabilities, specifying certain study requirements and requiring a commissioner of human services report to the legislature by a certain date on the results of the study; appropriating money to the commissioner of human services for the support program
