A bill for an act
relating to traffic regulations; prohibiting conviction of any person for traffic
signal violation based solely on photographic evidence; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2004, section 169.06, by adding a subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 169.06, is amended by adding a
subdivision to read:

new text begin No person may be convicted of operating
a motor vehicle in violation of subdivision 5, paragraph (a), clause (3), based on
photographic evidence when the violation was not witnessed by a peace officer.
