A bill for an act
 relating to trade and economic development; Department of Employment and
Economic Development; providing funding for the Love Elk River transitional
housing pilot project; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin LOVE ELK RIVER TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PILOT PROJECT;
APPROPRIATION.

new text begin $100,000 is appropriated in fiscal year 2007 from the general fund to the
commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant to the city of Elk
River for the Love Elk River transitional housing pilot project. The appropriation is for
the acquisition and restoration of mobile homes to be used as transitional housing for
homeless individuals seeking to reintegrate into the workforce.
