A bill for an act
relating to natural resources; authorizing the
commissioner of natural resources to auction the
naming rights for certain trout streams.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin TROUT STREAM NAMING RIGHTS.

new text begin The commissioner of natural resources may sell the naming
rights to three unnamed actively managed trout streams located
in the southeastern part of the state. The sale must be at
public auction to the highest responsible bidder. The
commissioner shall use the proceeds from the sale to purchase
easements that provide trout stream access and to fund trout
stream habitat improvement projects.
