1E Requiring and providing for medical assistance (MA) coverage for medication therapy management services for certain recipients, defining medication therapy management; specifying pharmacist requirements for eligibility for reimbursement services; specifying certain requirements for pharmacist eligibility for reimbursement, authorizing the commissioner of human services to enroll individual pharmacists as medical assistance providers and to establish contract requirements between pharmacists and recipients; requiring the commissioner to establish a temporary medication therapy management advisory committee for advice on the implementation and administration of the services, specifying certain committee membership requirements; requiring commissioner evaluation of the effect of medication therapy management on quality of care, patient outcomes and program costs, requiring inclusion of savings generated and a report to the legislature by a certain date, authorizing a contract with a vendor or an academic institution with expertise in evaluating health care outcomes to complete the evaluation
