Requiring the commissioner of transportation (DOT) to develop and implement a town road sign replacement program for signs removal, replacement and installation purposes; specifying the scope of the program and certain standards; authorizing the commissioner to establish conditions for local government participation in the program, authorizing the involvement of counties and establishment and maintenance by local government units of a road signs database;appropriating money to the commissioner to administer the program, authorizing use of the proceeds to match federal funds and to establish a pilot program in consultation with the Minnesota association of townships
