A bill for an act
relating to education; providing for employee
recognition programs; amending Minnesota Statutes
2004, section 123B.02, by adding a subdivision.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
Section 1.
Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 123B.02, is
amended by adding a subdivision to read:

A school board may
establish and operate an employee recognition program for
district employees, including teachers, and may expend funds as
necessary to achieve the objectives of the program.
