A bill for an act
relating to health; extending approval for a nursing
facility moratorium exception proposal approved under
the competitive exception process; amending Minnesota
Statutes 2004, section 144A.073, by adding a
subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 144A.073, is
amended by adding a subdivision to read:

new text begin Extension of approval for a facility in
bloomington. new text end

new text begin Notwithstanding subdivisions 3 and 10, the
commissioner of health shall extend project approval for an
additional 24 months for an exception to the nursing facility
licensure and certification moratorium proposed by a nursing
facility with 268 skilled nursing beds in the city of
Bloomington and originally approved by the commissioner in
December 2002.
