relating to water quality; providing for additional
monitoring for agricultural pesticides in groundwater
and surface water; appropriating money.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1. new text begin APPROPRIATION; WATER MONITORING FOR
PESTICIDES.

new text begin $200,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the
commissioner of agriculture in fiscal year 2006 for increased
monitoring of agricultural pesticides in groundwater and surface
waters throughout the state. This appropriation must be used
primarily for sample collection and laboratory analytical
costs. This appropriation is in addition to other
appropriations and funding for the water monitoring program.
