A bill for an act
relating to fund-raising for repair and restoration of
Minnesota's State Capitol.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

The Capitol Area Architectural and Planning Board is
authorized to place a collection box in the rotunda of the
Capitol for the purpose of raising funds from visitors to the
building to help cover the expense of repair and restoration of
the Capitol.

The design and placement of the box must be consistent with
the high stature of the Capitol. The Capitol Area Architectural
and Planning Board shall work with the Department of
Administration on the design, placement, and security of the
box. All proceeds from the box must be collected by the
Department of Administration and allocated to the Capitol Area
Architectural and Planning Board to fund design, repair, and
restoration projects related to the Capitol.
