A bill for an act
relating to education finance; allowing school
districts to levy for health care costs; amending
Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 126C.41, by adding a
subdivision.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

Section 1.

Minnesota Statutes 2004, section 126C.41, is
amended by adding a subdivision to read:

new text begin A district may levy
the amount necessary to pay for increases in health care
premiums for current employees based on the benefit level
provided during the 2004-2005 school year.

payable in 2006 and thereafter.
