A bill for an act
relating to highways; requiring commissioner of
transportation to construct a new bridge on marked
Trunk Highway 64 near the city of Akeley.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

new text begin The commissioner of transportation shall, by December 31,
2008, plan, design, acquire right-of-way where necessary, and
let contracts for the construction of a new bridge on marked
Trunk Highway 64 near the city of Akeley, to replace the present
culvert where the highway divides 11th Crow Wing Lake into two
sections. This requirement is contingent on the commissioner
obtaining necessary permits and approvals for the bridge from
federal, local, regional, and other state agencies.
