  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to taxation; prohibiting amendment of 
  1.3             existing rules and adoption of new rules for 
  1.4             determination of the value of electric utility 
  1.5             property. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [LEGISLATIVE APPROVAL OF RULES FOR VALUATION OF 
  1.8   ELECTRIC UTILITY PROPERTY.] 
  1.9      The Department of Revenue shall not amend existing rules or 
  1.10  adopt new rules that prescribe the method of valuing property of 
  1.11  electric utilities until the legislature has enacted a law that 
  1.12  incorporates the provisions of the proposed rules.
