  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to health; requiring a proposal for a program 
  1.3             for health care professionals prescribing legend drugs.
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [REPORT.] 
  1.6      The health-related licensing boards defined in Minnesota 
  1.7   Statutes, section 214.02, shall work with the University of 
  1.8   Minnesota to develop a proposal for a competency-based education 
  1.9   and assessment program for professionals authorized to 
  1.10  prescribe, dispense, or administer legend drugs.  The boards 
  1.11  shall report to the senate and house of representatives 
  1.12  committees with jurisdiction over health and human services by 
  1.13  January 30, 2005.
