  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to drainage; prohibiting the planting of 
  1.3             trees over certain public or private tile lines; 
  1.4             amending Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 103E.081, by 
  1.5             adding a subdivision. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2002, section 103E.081, is 
  1.8   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 2a.  [PLANTING TREES OVER TILE LINES.] A person must 
  1.10  not knowingly plant trees over a public or private drain tile 
  1.11  that provides for the drainage of land owned or leased by 
  1.12  another person, unless the person planting the trees receives 
  1.13  permission from all persons who receive drainage benefits from 
  1.14  the drain tile.
