Requiring school boards to adopt policies prohibiting intimidation +and bullying, defining intimidation or bullying and specifying certain +minimum policy requirements; requiring disciplinary actions taken under the +policies to be consistent with collective bargaining agreements and the pupil +fair dismissal act; requiring the department of children, families and +learning (CFL) to develop and make available to school boards a model policy +on intimidation and bullying and to upon request assist school boards in developing the policies; prohibiting school employee, student or +volunteer retaliation against persons with information relating to acts of +intimidation or bullying; specifying certain reporting requirements of school +employees, students or volunteers and providing immunity from liability for good faith reporting; +encouraging school districts to form task forces, organize programs and develop +initiatives to prevent intimidation and bullying; requiring school officials to +include information on intimidation and bullying policies in employee +training programs and school boards to provide annual notice of the policies in student handbooks; providing for legal recourse (ra)
