Authorizing school boards to develop and implement pilot projects to+ develop school district parental involvement policies according to a certain +federal law; requiring the boards and authorizing schools to establish +parental involvement review committees to assist in developing the policies +and to evaluate the programs and strategies to involve parents in the +educational process, specifying committee membership requirements and requiring +the districts to assist the committees; requiring districts to notify the commissioner of children, families and learning (CFL) of +participation in the pilot projects and requiring commissioner assistance in committee +development upon request; requiring the committees to annually report on the +effectiveness of parental involvement in the districts and make recommendations to +the school boards and requiring school boards to develop a standard reporting +form and to report committee information to the commissioner (ra)
