Relating to the financing of election campaigns; providing for +administration of the provisions regulating corporate political contributions by the+ campaign finance and public disclosure board, transferring certain report +filing duties from the secretary of state to the board; expanding the exception to +the prohibition on gifts by lobbyists for plaques recognizing individual +services to framed certificates; eliminating the criminal penalty for certain contribution violations; expanding the freedom to associate and +communicate with members of associations to association shareholders, employees +and families in support of or in opposition to the election of particular candidates; defining political office for corporate political +contributions purposes; further defining the penalty for corporate representatives +illegal political contributions and reducing the maximum term of imprisonment+ for the violation, modifying the penalty for the same violation by +corporations; expanding the authority of corporations to display campaign materials+ on the premises and authorizing certain candidate recruitment and training; +expanding the authority of employees to solicit political contributions to +candidates and the authority of nonprofit corporations to provide administrative +support to political committees to corporations and eliminating the limit; +providing for the costs liability of persons intentionally making false or bad +faith complaints or reports of alleged violations; requiring employee +consent for labor organizations to use dues or fees for political purposes, +notice requirement, requiring reduction of dues or fees for employees not +agreeing; specifying certain renumbering and cross reference correction +instructions to the revisor of statutes (ra)
