Requiring state agencies to pay a salary differential to eligible +state employee members of the national guard or other reserve components of+ the armed forces ordered to active service on or after a certain date to +compensate the employees for the difference between active duty military pay and the+ salary of the member as a state employee, specifying certain payment limits, +defining state employee and active service; requiring continuation of employee enrollment in health and dental insurance coverage and the employer contribution toward the coverage until coverage of the employee by +the armed forces; requiring the commissioners of employee relations (DOER) and +finance to adopt procedures for implementation purposes; excluding judges, +legislators and constitutional officers from eligibility; extending the authority of +local government units to pay salary differentials to public employees +ordered to active service (Ch. 123, 2003)
