  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; clarifying a definition 
  1.3             related to the Minnesota extension service; amending 
  1.4             Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 38.331, subdivision 2.
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 38.331, 
  1.7   subdivision 2, is amended to read: 
  1.8      Subd. 2.  [COUNTY EXTENSION WORK.] "County extension work" 
  1.9   means educational programs and services provided by extension 
  1.10  agents in the areas of agriculture, economic and human 
  1.11  development, community agricultural finance and economics, rural 
  1.12  life issues, rural leadership, and environment and natural 
  1.13  resources. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.15     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
