  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to taxation; delaying the expiration date of 
  1.3             the authority of Ramsey and Hennepin counties to 
  1.4             impose deed and mortgage registry taxes; amending 
  1.5             Minnesota Statutes 2000, sections 383A.80, subdivision 
  1.6             4; 383B.80, subdivision 4. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 383A.80, 
  1.9   subdivision 4, is amended to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 4.  [EXPIRATION.] The authority to impose the tax 
  1.11  under this section expires January 1, 2003 2008. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 383B.80, 
  1.13  subdivision 4, is amended to read: 
  1.14     Subd. 4.  [EXPIRATION.] The authority to impose the tax 
  1.15  under this section expires January 1, 2003 2008.
