  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to gambling; licenses; modifying certain 
  1.3             license terms; amending Minnesota Statutes 2000, 
  1.4             sections 349.161, subdivision 4; 349.163, subdivision 
  1.5             2; 349.164, subdivision 4. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 349.161, 
  1.8   subdivision 4, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 4.  [FEES.] The annual initial fee for a 
  1.10  distributor's license is $3,500.  The initial term of a 
  1.11  distributor license is one year.  Renewal licenses under this 
  1.12  section are valid for two years and the fee for the renewal 
  1.13  license is $7,000. 
  1.14     Sec. 2.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 349.163, 
  1.15  subdivision 2, is amended to read: 
  1.16     Subd. 2.  [LICENSE; FEE.] A The initial license under this 
  1.17  section is valid for one year.  The annual fee for the initial 
  1.18  license is $5,000.  Renewal licenses under this section are 
  1.19  valid for two years and the fee for the renewal license is 
  1.20  $10,000. 
  1.21     Sec. 3.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 349.164, 
  1.22  subdivision 4, is amended to read: 
  1.23     Subd. 4.  [FEES; TERM OF LICENSE.] The annual initial fee 
  1.24  for a bingo hall license is $2,500.  An initial license under 
  1.25  this section is valid for one year.  Renewal licenses under this 
  2.1   section are valid for two years and the fee for the renewal 
  2.2   license is $5,000.
