  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to children; changing the appropriation for 
  1.3             child care assistance in Laws 2001; amending Laws 
  1.4             2001, First Special Session chapter 3, article 1, 
  1.5             section 17, subdivision 8. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  Laws 2001, First Special Session chapter 3, 
  1.8   article 1, section 17, subdivision 8, is amended to read: 
  1.9      Subd. 8.  [BASIC SLIDING FEE.] For child care assistance 
  1.10  according to Minnesota Statutes, section 119B.03: 
  1.11       $51,999,000    .....     2002 
  1.12       $51,999,000 $..,...,...   .....     2003
  1.13     Any balance in the first year does not cancel but is 
  1.14  available in the second year.  The appropriation for the second 
  1.15  year is from the children's account in the general fund.
