Requiring the commissioner of children, families and learning to annually provide information to school districts on the health risks to school children of diesel fuel emissions from school buses and on ways to reduce the risks and school districts to annually provide notice to parents about the risks and the actions taken to protect children from exposure; requiring the commissioner in consultation with transportation professionals to make recommendations to the legislature by a certain date on providing incentives for districts and schools to retrofit older buses with cleaner technologies or to purchase new buses using cleaner fuels and technologies and to develop sample school bus contracts by a certain date for school districts to use with school bus contractors to reduce diesel fuel emissions (je)
