  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to housing; manufactured homes; prohibiting 
  1.3             certain action based on age of resident's home; 
  1.4             proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, 
  1.5             chapter 327C. 
  1.6   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.7      Section 1.  [327C.121] [TERMINATION; AGE OF HOME.] 
  1.8      A park owner is prohibited from recovering possession 
  1.9   because of the age of the resident's home.  This prohibition 
  1.10  shall not be construed to prohibit the park owner from enforcing 
  1.11  reasonable rules solely to ensure compliance with health, 
  1.12  safety, maintenance, or building codes of the governmental 
  1.13  jurisdictions in which the home is located, or terminating the 
  1.14  lease of a resident who fails to so comply. 
  1.15     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.16     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
