  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             the Red river basin. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $100,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the board 
  1.7   of water and soil resources for a grant to the Red river basin 
  1.8   board to develop a Red river basin water management plan and to 
  1.9   coordinate water management activities in the states and 
  1.10  provinces bordering the Red river.  This appropriation is only 
  1.11  available to the extent it is matched by a proportionate amount 
  1.12  from the states of North Dakota and South Dakota and the 
  1.13  province of Manitoba.
