E Authorizing and providing for the peace officer standards and training board to award grants to develop and promote community policing models responsive to the unique needs of the law enforcement and mental health systems in the state; authorizing grants for existing or new projects and approval of the implementation of community policing pilot projects, specifying certain pilot project focus requirements; requiring the POST board to appoint a community mental health peace officer advisory board, specifying certain membership requirements and requiring the POST board in making the appointments to consider metropolitan and rural interests; requiring the board to advise the POST board on the model policing programs and on related areas of concern to persons with mental illness; requiring POST board evaluation of the projects for preliminary and final reporting to the legislature by certain dates; appropriating money to the POST board to implement a certain number of the projects (ra, ja)
