A resolution urging the president and congress to stop major league baseball from demanding taxpayer subsidies under threats of moving or contraction of teams; acknowledging the value of the Minnesota Twins to the state; declaring the commitment of the legislature to working with the Minnesota Twins organization to develop a way to retain the team in the state without considering public taxpayer funding for a new baseball stadium; encouraging New Ballpark, Inc. to continue efforts to build a new outdoor ballpark with private funds and the Minnesota Twins and major league baseball to conduct negotiations to preserve the team for the future of the state; requesting major league baseball to implement comprehensive revenue sharing to alleviate the need for public subsidies (ra)
