Relating to education; repealing the profile of learning, retaining the graduation rule; modifying or eliminating certain duties of the commissioner of children, families and learning; specifying certain basic skills requirements; providing for local academic achievement testing for higher academic standards achievement purposes; prohibiting requirements for students to participate in specific provisions of certain federal education or assessment programs; modifying certain statewide testing and educational accountability requirements; requiring school districts to administer a uniform testing program to determine academic achievement at certain grade levels, requiring the testing program to measure knowledge in certain subject areas; requiring school districts consideration of parental input and advice in the development of student achievement improvement plans; providing for local testing revenue and appropriating money to the commissioner for payment of the revenue; repealing certain provisions providing for implementation of the profile of learning and for educational accountability and certain rules establishing profile of learning requirements and content standards; specifying certain headnote change instructions to the revisor of statutes (ra)
