  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to local government; allowing specified 
  1.3             municipal contributions to the general fund of a 
  1.4             volunteer firefighters' relief association; amending 
  1.5             Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 424A.06, by adding a 
  1.6             subdivision. 
  1.7   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.8      Section 1.  Minnesota Statutes 2000, section 424A.06, is 
  1.9   amended by adding a subdivision to read: 
  1.10     Subd. 1a.  [DESIGNATED ACCOUNT.] A volunteer firefighters' 
  1.11  relief association may establish a designated account within its 
  1.12  general fund to receive municipal contributions for purchase of 
  1.13  firefighting equipment or supplies.
