  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; transferring certain base 
  1.3             appropriations for services for deaf-blind persons to 
  1.4             the commissioner of economic security. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [TRANSFER OF BASE APPROPRIATIONS.] 
  1.7      The commissioner of finance shall transfer base level 
  1.8   appropriations for the following programs in the amount listed 
  1.9   to the commissioner of economic security from the commissioner 
  1.10  of human services, effective for the biennium beginning July 1, 
  1.11  2001: 
  1.12     (1) $155,000 each year for intervenor services for children 
  1.13  who are deaf-blind; 
  1.14     (2) $20,000 each year for activities to support parents of 
  1.15  children who are deaf-blind; and 
  1.16     (3) $100,000 each year for a grant to Deaf Blind Services 
  1.17  Minnesota, Inc., in order to provide services to deaf-blind 
  1.18  children and their families.
