  1.3             women's shelters. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $7,600,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of public safety for the fiscal biennium ending 
  1.8   June 30, 2003, for per diem funding for battered women shelters 
  1.9   under Minnesota Statutes, section 611A.32, and for the safe 
  1.10  homes.
