  1.1                          A bill for an act
  1.2             relating to housing; appropriating money for home 
  1.3             ownership assistance and homebuyer education. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; HOME OWNERSHIP ASSISTANCE 
  1.6   FUND.] 
  1.7      $....... is appropriated from the general fund for transfer 
  1.8   to the housing development fund for the home ownership 
  1.9   assistance fund under Minnesota Statutes, section 462A.21, 
  1.10  subdivision 8.  This appropriation is to be used to assist 
  1.11  homebuyers receiving mortgage loans from the proceeds of 
  1.12  mortgage revenue bonds under community set-aside programs in 
  1.13  which the target population is historically underserved 
  1.14  populations.  This appropriation is available until June 30, 
  1.15  2003. 
  1.16     Sec. 2.  [APPROPRIATION; HOMEBUYER EDUCATION.] 
  1.17     $....... is appropriated from the general fund for transfer 
  1.18  to the housing development fund for the full-cycle home 
  1.19  ownership services program under Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.20  462A.21, subdivision 26.  Priority shall be given to proposals 
  1.21  that increase services to non-English speaking persons, recent 
  1.22  immigrants, and historically underserved populations.  This 
  1.23  appropriation is available until June 30, 2003.
