  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to human services; increasing funding for 
  1.3             crisis nurseries; appropriating money. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; CRISIS NURSERIES.] 
  1.6      (a) $1,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.7   commissioner of human services for the biennium beginning July 
  1.8   1, 2001, to develop new crisis nurseries. 
  1.9      (b) $1,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.10  commissioner of human services for the biennium beginning July 
  1.11  1, 2001, to expand existing crisis nursery services that have 
  1.12  been previously funded through the department of human services, 
  1.13  to meet the increased demand for these services.
