  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to education finance; authorizing a grant; 
  1.3             appropriating money.  
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [INDOOR AIR QUALITY COMPLIANCE.] 
  1.6      Subdivision 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] (a) $906,000 is 
  1.7   appropriated in fiscal year 2002 from the general fund to the 
  1.8   department of children, families, and learning for grants to 
  1.9   cover additional project costs imposed by Laws 2000, chapter 
  1.10  389, article 5, sections 6 and 7. 
  1.11     (b) Of the amount appropriated in paragraph (a), $518,000 
  1.12  is for a grant to independent school district No. 739, Kimball, 
  1.13  and $388,000 is for a grant to independent school district No. 
  1.14  75, St. Clair. 
  1.15     Subd. 2.  [LOCAL PROJECTS.] Grants received under this 
  1.16  section do not subject the building projects to Minnesota 
  1.17  Statutes, sections 177.41 to 177.44.
