Relating to public lands; increasing the dollar limit for tax-forfeited land leases exempt from public sale requirements; authorizing county boards to convey road easements across unsold tax-forfeited land for private property access purposes under certain conditions, requiring county auditors to require individuals applying for an easement to pay the appraised value of the easement, easement reversion requirement; modifying certain provisions providing for the exchange of county lakeshore land for leased lakeshore lots, authorizing county boards inclusion of fee land in exchange proposals, exempting land acquired through exchange from payment of the percentage of sales price required to be collected by county auditors and granting the boards the authority to withhold certain costs and receipts without regard to the requirement for deposit in the county environmental trust fund; authorizing and providing the public sale of certain tax-forfeited lands bordering public water and the private sale of certain tax-forfeited land within a consolidated conservation area in Aitkin county; authorizing Benton county to reconvey certain land to the Benton county historical society for no or nominal consideration; authorizing and providing for private and public sales of certain tax-forfeited lands bordering public water in Cook county; providing for the conveyance of certain tax-forfeited land in Hubbard county to the city of Park Rapids for no consideration and free of the tax-forfeited trust under certain conditions; authorizing and providing for private sales of certain tax-forfeited lands in Lake county, for the public sale of certain tax-forfeited land bordering public water in Meeker county, for the private sale of certain tax-forfeited land in Ramsey county for library purposes and for conveyance by the commissioner of revenue of certain tax-forfeited land bordering public water in the county for park purposes, for private and public sales of certain tax-forfeited lands bordering public water in St. Louis county, for the conveyance of certain tax-forfeited lands in Washington county to the cities of Forest Lake, Oakdale and Marine on St. Croix and to Scandia township and for the public and private sales of certain tax-forfeited land in the county; authorizing the commissioner of transportation (DOT) to exercise the power of eminent domain to acquire certain trust fund land bordering public water in Beltrami county(Ch. 164, 2001)
