  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; animal health; providing for 
  1.3             testing of certain cattle herds; appropriating money. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [CATTLE HERD TESTING; APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.6      $250,000 in fiscal year 2002 and $250,000 in fiscal year 
  1.7   2003 are appropriated from the general fund to the board of 
  1.8   animal health for enhancement of the paratuberculosis (Johne's 
  1.9   disease) program, including financial and education assistance 
  1.10  with testing and related activities to reduce the prevalence of 
  1.11  the disease and establishment of test negative herds as a source 
  1.12  of paratuberculosis-free replacement cattle.
