  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to retirement; providing a postretirement 
  1.3             adjustment for certain retired police officers and 
  1.4             firefighters in Eveleth. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [EVELETH RETIRED POLICE AND FIRE TRUST FUND; AD 
  1.7   HOC POSTRETIREMENT ADJUSTMENT.] 
  1.8      In addition to the current pensions and other retirement 
  1.9   benefits payable, the pensions and retirement benefits payable 
  1.10  to retired police officers and firefighters and their surviving 
  1.11  spouses by the Eveleth police and fire trust fund are increased 
  1.12  by $100 per month.  Increases are retroactive to January 1, 2001.
  1.13     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.14     Section 1 is effective upon approval by the Eveleth city 
  1.15  council and compliance with Minnesota Statutes, section 645.021.
