  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to the state patrol; appropriating money for 
  1.3             the installation, maintenance, and operation of video 
  1.4             cameras on state patrol vehicles. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $....... is appropriated from the trunk highway fund to the 
  1.8   commissioner of public safety for the biennium ending June 30, 
  1.9   2001, for the installation, maintenance, and operation of video 
  1.10  cameras on state patrol vehicles.  This amount may not be added 
  1.11  to the agency's budget base. 
  1.12     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.13     Section 1 is effective July 1, 2001.
