Relating to real property; providing for the validity of servitudes created by common owners of multiple pieces of property, specifying certain requirements for conveyance; providing for the filing of amended applications to register land; requiring the attorney general to represent the state in certain torrens proceedings; providing for the issuance of common elements certificates of title for condominiums, specifying the form and certain tract index and memorial requirements and providing for the issuance of CECTs for preexisting condominiums; authorizing owners of registered land to request the registrar of titles to issue new certificates of title free from terminated memorials; specifying the fee for issuance of CECTs; authorizing different owners of adjacent tracts of land in the same county to join in one application to register the title of individual tracts upon approval of the examiner of titles; modifying and clarifying certain provisions relating to application for and issuance of certificates of possessory title, eliminating certain supplemental directive and memorial requirements; providing for the issuance of combined certificates of title for registered land owners with a CPT and a certificate of title; modifying certain provisions under the Minnesota common interest ownership act relating to expansion, transfer and liens; exempting registered or torrens land from the 40 year statute of limitations, exception; specifying certain headnote change instructions to the revisor of statutes(Ch. 50, 2001)
