  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to appropriations; appropriating money for 
  1.3             updating soil surveys. 
  1.4   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.5      Section 1.  [BOARD OF SOIL AND WATER RESOURCES 
  1.6   APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.7      $250,000 in fiscal year 2002 and $250,000 in fiscal year 
  1.8   2003 are appropriated from the general fund to the board of soil 
  1.9   and water resources for grants to Cottonwood, Lincoln, Nobles, 
  1.10  and Pipestone counties for cost-sharing contracts to update and 
  1.11  digitize outmoded soil surveys.  The participating counties must 
  1.12  provide a cost share.
