  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to local and metropolitan government; 
  1.3             allowing the city of Minnetonka to establish a 
  1.4             replacement service transit program. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [MINNETONKA; OPT-OUT.] 
  1.7      Notwithstanding the eligibility requirements in Minnesota 
  1.8   Statutes, section 473.388, subdivision 2, the city of Minnetonka 
  1.9   is eligible for the replacement service program under Minnesota 
  1.10  Statutes, section 473.388, if the city first applies for 
  1.11  assistance or exercises the local levy option under Minnesota 
  1.12  Statutes, section 473.388, before June 30, 2003.
