E Holocaust Victims Insurance Relief Act of 2000 ; requiring the commissioner of commerce to assist resident Holocaust victims, heirs or beneficiaries in recovering proceeds from improperly denied or processed Holocaust related insurance policies; authorizing the commissioner to establish and maintain a central registry to be known as the Holocaust insurance company registry containing records and information relating to insurance policies of Holocaust victims, providing for confidential treatment and for availability of the information to facilitate claims, authorizing certain agreements with providers of the information and the exchange of certain information with other states and with the international commission on Holocaust related insurance claims, authorizing an agreement for a single registry to provide services to several states; providing for entry of information received from certain insurance companies into the registry, authorizing commissioner assessment of insurers to fund the costs; authorizing commissioner investigations and examinations of insurers for filing requirements compliance determination purposes, costs to be borne by the insurer; providing for the processing of claims; authorizing the commissioner to suspend the certificates of authority of insurers violating the requirements, requiring the fulfilling of obligations to the currently insured; providing for cooperation with the international commission; authorizing actions against insurers by Holocaust survivors or victims, providing for extension of the statute of limitations (mk, ja)
