Introduction - 81st Legislature (1999 - 2000)

  1.1                          A bill for an act 
  1.2             relating to agriculture; providing funding for 
  1.3             research in farm pollution run-off; appropriating 
  1.4             money. 
  1.5   BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 
  1.6      Section 1.  [APPROPRIATION; FARM DRAINAGE AND RUN-OFF 
  1.7   POLLUTION.] 
  1.8      $400,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.9   commissioner of agriculture to establish an agricultural water 
  1.10  quality and quantity management, research, demonstration, and 
  1.11  education program.  Of this appropriation $200,000 is for 
  1.12  projects at the Lamberton site and $200,000 is for projects at 
  1.13  the Waseca site.  The commissioner may contract with the 
  1.14  University of Minnesota or other parties for the implementation 
  1.15  of parts of the program.  This appropriation is available until 
  1.16  June 30, 2001. 
  1.17     Sec. 2.  [EFFECTIVE DATE.] 
  1.18     Section 1 is effective the day following final enactment.
